Peel Park petanque

Pétanque (French boules)
You may not be aware, but there is a Pétanque court in Peel Park situated beside the pavilion.
It was paid for by the Parish Council, and constructed by a group of enthusiasts who then used it for quite a few years on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Using the court is free, no booking system, just turn up and use the court whenever you want.
Sadly the court has now become disused and is in a sorry state, needing time and money to bring it back to life, if a need for it still exists.
An alternative use as a basketball area for that bit of land has been proposed if no one wants it to be retained, so if you or your friends would like to start using the court please contact the Parish Clerk accordingly clanfieldpc@virginmedia.com
