South Downs National Park

So it has finally been decided: there will be a South Downs National Park. It will nearly surround the village to the north, east and west: visit this map for details.
It's good to see that the countryside around us will be protected. Until very recently, anyone living in the village needed to travel hundreds of miles to reach a National Park; now none of us will live more than a mile from one, and there's another less than 40 miles away!
