Scouts meet on Monday evenings between 7pm & 9pm at the new HQ
Approximately one evening per month is held outdoors, with details published in advance.
We are a busy Troop and have about 24 Scout members and 5 Young Leader Explorers, so the hall can get a bit crowded. During most years we take part in the following camps;
-
County Winter camp in March, in the New Forrest.
-
District Activity camp in April.
-
Hiking on the Southdowns during the Easter holidays.
-
A Troop Camp in May.
-
Our summer camp lasts for a week in the summer holidays. Recently this has been held in Somerset and Wiltshire, and this year it will be held on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. Next year we will be camping in the Lake District at the Hampshire County Camp.
We would expect to take part in more camps than those listed; as and when we get the opportunity.
Our activities over the last two years have included; hiking, mountain biking, backwoods and survival skills, caving, climbing, abseiling, rifle target shooting, archery, kayaking and pioneering.
If you would like to join this or any other troop, or you would like to enquire about the possibility of helping in a leadership or organisational role, please contact the scout leader at by email. It's great fun!
